Candy

Milkyway

His sweet, soft nature helps him connect with every rider he meets, and we’re so grateful to have this very special guy in our herd.
Moneypenny
Moneypenny is an American Paint Horse mare who joined our team in 2022. This former broodmare has embraced her new role as a slow-and-steady therapeutic riding horse. After lessons, she’s known for leaning in for cuddles with riders and volunteers alike, making sure no one leaves without giving her some well earned scratches.
Pinto
Pinto is a pony mare who has been part of the Camp Able herd since 2019. She may be the boss mare in the pasture, but with her riders she’s patient, steady, and always willing to go along with their big ideas and silly games. Pinto has given many kiddos their very first ride, a boost of confidence, or simply a listening ear. An invaluable part of our team, we’re so thankful for this reliable little mare.
Gus
Gus is a Quarter Horse gelding who joined our herd in 2025. He quickly became a fan favorite—his steady pace and nonchalant way of going make riders feel safe and relaxed. With a ranch-horse résumé that prepared him for just about anything, Gus treats every rider like precious cargo, placing each foot carefully (even if it’s at a “grandpa shuffle” speed). We’re thrilled to have such a wonderful addition to the team!

Sahara
Sahara is a Quarter Horse mare who joined our therapeutic riding herd in 2025. Sahara combines a calm way of going with a willing attitude, making each ride feel safe and supported. She does, however, have her opinions—this diva absolutely hates mud and prefers her arena nice, dry, and dignified. After a good lesson, she’s all about spa time, soaking up every bit of grooming and scratches.
Boone

Always a reliable partner, Shorty is ready for anything—whether it’s weaving cones in the arena or helping “round up” our volunteer-cows (even if their moos aren’t very convincing).
Uno
Uno is a Quarter Horse gelding who has been part of our herd since 2016. A quiet, versatile gentleman, Uno is the kind of horse you can count on for just about anything. He seems to get better every year—our instructors even joke that he’s one of them and could teach a lesson himself. With his calm presence and years of service, Uno is truly one of the pillars of our program, and we’re so grateful for him.
Harold
Harold is an American Miniature Horse and the tiniest member of our herd—only in size, not in impact! He joined us in 2024 and is also a certified emotional support horse. Harold spreads joy wherever he goes, whether he’s working at Camp Able or visiting grade schools, colleges, and community events. One look at him, and it’s hard not to smile.
